THE 1 1 6 : Youth
The 116 is a ministry serving parents and teens in middle and high school. Our name comes from Romans 1:16 (ESV) 16For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.
We have lots of fun together at our monthly meetings - spending time together, singing, teaching from, and interacting with God's Word in a way that applies to real life.
Our meetings are typically the 4th Friday of the month at 7:00p (though occasionally the event is moved to a different Friday).
Our approach to youth ministry is parent-involved in keeping with the command in Scripture for parents to "bring [their children] up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord" (Ephesians 6:4). The pastors come alongside parents to equip, support, and encourage them in this all-important pursuit.
Because of this, our youth events include participation from both parents and their children. In this way, parents are able to help their children apply the biblical teachings that are presented at the meetings and events.
